A fierce bounty hunter. An outlaw on the run. A love that transcends it all.
After three years on the run, the notorious bounty hunter Tyler Calhoun catches up with the elusive lady outlaw, Nicky Malloy. The intensity of their dislike for each other is only matched by the burgeoning passion they can't control.
A loner by nature, a cold hard hunter by choice, Tyler fights his feelings for his prisoner the only way he knows how -- by ignoring them. He's not prepared for the depth of his feelings, or how hard it will be to hold her prisoner--so close and so far away. Pursued and hunted themselves, Nicky and Tyler are forced to turn to each other for aid, trust, and comfort as their journey progresses to an inevitable end.
Caught in a murky world of lies, they hold on to each other as they travel to Wyoming to confront the man that brought them together. Tyler has to decide if his love for Nicky is worth more than the bounty he was sent to find.

Lots of lust and sex in this story, not much romance though. I read historical romance for the romance. They don't need to be clean - lust and sex is perfectly okay. However, if want to read pages upon pages of sex showing up at weird moments, I'd read something like this. The conflict between the bounty hunter and his prey was why I wanted to read this. These two were so horny for each other that the conflict became a contrivance. I did attempt to keep reading because this author has a good voice but just couldn't make myself keep going since I was skimming more than reading. If this is her usual style, I'm not sure that I'll try another. It goes without saying that if you like more sex in your story than anything else, you'll like this. I glad I only paid 99 cents for it.Product details

The Bounty Malloy Family Book 1 edition by Beth Williamson Romance eBooks Reviews
Loved the original plot. Loved the sassy, independent heroine, Nicky. Lots of great secondary characters. The hero was handsome, tough, but with realistic baggage and masculine impatience. It kept me completely entertained all the way through.
I haven't written many reviews compared to the number of books I've read but every once and a while one will stand out from many of the others...this is one of them. This story had it all...hot romance, wit, surprise, a very mean villain and excitement around every corner. . Nicky and Tyler were easy to love. I grew up thinking westerns were stale and lacked much emotion. This book is the total opposite. I can't wait to ready more of Beth's work.
I adore Western Romances and I must say, this was one of the best written I've read in a long time. The setting was well-detailed and believable. The story was exciting and authentic in many ways. And I really enjoyed the two main characters. Nicky was a fun female lead- she maintained a vulnerability while still proving herself as a strong character. Tyler was definitely a sexy, interesting alpha male type. The chemistry between the two was just enough -- hot and realistic but not over-the-top.
The story follows a simple enough tale. Tyler is a bounty hunter and his most recent assignment (and most rewarding - which makes it even more tantalizing) is to recover a young woman "outlaw" on the run, Nicky, who has managed to avoid other bounty hunters for three years. Tyler is reluctant to hunt down a female for obvious reasons, however, he is ready to settle down and the money offered is a fortune. When he finds her, sparks fly, and Tyler is torn between the bounty and the female. He doesn't waste too much time debating, which serves him well as a likable character.
So why the three star rating? I honestly couldn't get over the idea that Nicky was the baby of her family- and had FIVE living, older, alpha male brothers and a strong rancher father who did nothing to find her. Since the rest of this series is about her brothers and their love lives, I find that a tad disappointing because I already don't respect them too much. In fact, at the very beginning of the novel Tyler runs into two of her brothers who seem very aware that he is about to go after her and all they do is give him a nasty look and a stern warning. She described her relationship with her brothers as the definition of loyalty and went into detail about the loving, closeness they all shared. So I was confused as to how they could allow their baby teenage sister (however tomboyish she may be) to simply vanish into the frontier and allow dangerous bounty hunters to hunt her down.
That being said, I WILL read the rest of this series because I absolutely loved the story, the writing, the style, the excitement and the chemistry... and so I'm wanting more of that. I just hope these brothers can make it up to me, yeah?
Says it is historical, but the actions and words are not realistic for the time. I do not agree with another reader, and this IS what I consider erotica. Not terribly graphic, but continual. More sex than story. And the romance isn't. At least for me, romance is more than lust.
I liked everything about this story except Logan’s death. Brought tears to my eyes. Overall I rated this story high because it had action, romance, lust and was very entertaining. A great western story. I do disagree with with some of the low reviews, you can feel lust and have romance and love at first sight is real but not everyone is fortunate enough to experience any or all of these feelings. Enough said I would definitely recommend this book.
I found THE BOUNTY captivating. I've read at least one other Malloy Family books, but had forgotten how much I loved Beth Williams's writing. The story is just long enough without being slow or sluggish anywhere. Every important stage of the story was given enough time to develop the story with the bad guy, introducing what had happened before the book began that mattered to the story now, and the romance was lusciously well developed. Fire-hot attraction, lust, believable because the pair spent so much time alone and in close proximity. I loved how strong a female lead Nicky proved to be. A fighter, bright, determined to escape a much stronger man, a bounty hunter who's believably the best in his field. The two strong, determined, capable people end up being an ideal match, and the ending was among the most rewarding conclusions I've read.
Bravo, Ms. Williamson!

Even before I managed to get to know the main characters, they were already sexually involved, which gave me the impression that this was more an action-romance book rather than a book worth spending my time getting to know the characters, and, in turn, getting to know the author. Sexual attraction is one thing, but giving in to impulses like animals and then calling it love is ridiculous.
